Unity Elementary School welcomes you to our website and our outstanding learning community !
We believe in educational outcomes and the growth of the whole child through challenging instruction and varied experiential learning opportunities. At UES-we work hard and we play hard. Students learn best when they are motivated by their own natural curiosity and guided by experienced educators to explore and expand their base of knowledge.
Pre K thru 4th grade students will build a foundation of knowledge, exploring reading, math, science, PE, art, music and guidance from core instructional and speciality teachers. Grade 5-8 builds upon this base with more rigorous and detailed instruction in ELA, Math, Science, PE and Health along with specials- all in preparation of students continuing education and for a Capstone project due before transition to High School.
We are a school that believes in opportunities for learning not only in the classroom but also with community and civic engagement. We accomplish this by expanded learning opportunities in STEM, in the field and forest, on the stage and auditorium, community luncheons and in the physical and mental challenge of our rope course.
We welcome and use technology as a computer 1:1 school for all grades 3-8 and Smart Boards in every classroom- even as we also expect upper grade students to read and analyze physical books to promote an expanding vocabulary and deeper understanding of humanity and technical subjects.
The Unity School Board along with the Unity PTA are our most valued partners as we strive for academic excellence for all students.
Unity Elementary School is proud to be a New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEAS&C) accredited institution.
