UES supports 'Hour of Code'

Hour of Code-STEAM- UES Enrichment Partnerships
Students work together.

UES has again embraced the international program for the encouragement of computer science skills known as 'Hour of Code'. In 2016 we had 18 students participate in this program- in 2017 and again in 2018 we had 100% of our students learning coding skills !

We are committed to promoting an enhanced STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) program in our school. We work with our partnerships- the Montshire Museum, the Hood Museum, St. Gaudens, Aloha Foundation (Hulbert), American Precision Museum, Sullivan County Conservation District, Children's Literacy Foundation (CLiF), Children's Stage Adventures, Unity Historical Society, UNH STEMbassators and many- many others. These collaborations allow us to provide our students with exposure to experts in their fields, advanced scientific apparatus, tools and curriculum designed to foster creative self discovery and knowledge acquisition. These would not be available without our partnerships and our teachers sincere dedication to providing a rich and varied academic environment. In addition to our large science lab- UES houses two dedicated indoor greenhouses-one is soil based and one which is a Hydroponic room.
